The Disc Low Back Leg Pain

I think this chiropractic lumbar spine poster (not fully shown) is from 1984 but it’s still one of the most popular posters for patients. Nearly everybody visiting the chiropractor can identify with low back pain. Most people have a basic understanding as to what the sciatic nerve is or where it’s located. I have found this poster is great for educating people about a number of concerns related to the spine, spinal cord, spinal nerves and discs. Time for a modernized version.

Core training and abdominal strengthening are essential activities to ensure a strong posture, back and overall fitness. When the core muscles are weak, other parts of the body are at risk for injury. There is a risk for an increased lumbar lordosis and increased stress on discs when the abdominal muscles are weak.
