Day 001 – Pain Relief

I had a really sore shoulder this evening and needed to take acetaminophen. It’s the only pain reliever I can take.
Unfortunately it’s also the only pain reliever that affects the readings taken by my Dexcom CGM. So for about 5 hours, I have to stash the Dexcom receiver far away from me. Otherwise it will give me extremely exaggerated numbers, say 450 mg/dL when my blood sugar is actually 140.
Mmmm, pain relief

Yay! Good to see you back!!!
I’ve never heard of that with acetaminophen – is that a common reaction?

It is a known problem with the Dexcom CGM. As far as I know, the other CGM devices don’t have this issue.
